At the beginning of next year, Costa Rica will become the headquarters of four international court events related to the physics of plasmas.
In the same way, in the northern part of the province of Alajuela, San Carlos, one of the country's most popular tourist cities will take place from October 20 to January 24 the first summer school of Costa Rica.
This space is intended to those who wish to participate as undergraduate and graduate students to absorb knowledge from interaction with professionals of high prestige, on the topics of your interest, from basic concepts to advanced theories. The campus will allow the exposure of speakers.
Another event which is scheduled for next year, is the 15th Latin American Workshop on Plasma Physics: LAWPP 2, this will take place from 27 and until January 31, 2014 in the Corobici Hotel in the province of San José.
The LAWPP will feature approximately 150 participants who will discuss research on plasma physics that have been made in the region and enjoy a space for Exchange and promotion of cooperation between the different scientists.
El Hotel Corobici also be space for that at the end of January, 27 and 29 up to carry out the Edition number 21 from the IAEA Technical Meeting on Research Using Small Fusion Device, this is a Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency and is intended to be a forum that count with the participation of approximately 50 researchers on the subject.
Finally, in the context of these events, will be the workshop on industrial applications of plasma technology, which also promises to be a space of cooperation between different industries close to the subject and several scholars of the Latin American region in this field.
The participation of Costa Rica in these events is led by the technological Institute and its plasma physics laboratory, as well as the National University and the important participation of Ad Astra Rocket Company of the known Costa Rican astronaut Franklin Chang.
