Scientific research in Costa Rica gets fifth place.
The UCR (Universidad de Costa Rica) and the scientific research department allowed to place the country in fifth place of the best universities in Latin America and placed among the 500 best in the world. The UCR is only surpassed by universities in Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Argentina.
This information is provided by the latest report of the Ranking Web of Universities in the World or Webometrics, ranking evaluates more than 20,000 colleges in the world and uses a series of criteria to determine the positions in the ranking.
The list named "premier league" takes criteria that presents scientific documentation on the websites of each university, it published content, especially of academic importance.
