A marketing study by the Foreign Trade Promotion Office says the Norway's purchasing power is five times the per capita income of Costa Ricans.

Some 685 products from Costa Rica have high potential for export to Norway, a little-explored destination, according to a study by the Foreign Trade Promotion Office (PROCOMER) entitled "Expanding trade relations with Europe: the case of Norway".
Banana, coffee, pineapple, tires and integrated circuits were among the potential products identified by PROCOMER.
Some, such as bananas and coffee, have already entered the market of 4.9 million people, whose purchasing power is five times the per capita income of Costa Ricans, according to the study.
In the first half of 2012, Costa Rica exported $7.8 million worth of products, which was more than all of 2011. These studies provide tools for entrepreneurs to initiate a trade.
